Wild pecay nut oil
They call it the oil of the stars! Very recently released on the world market, cacay oil's popularity has increased significantly, mainly for its anti-aging properties. It's an oil that comes from wild harvests in the Amazon. Compared to all other oils, Cacay oil is high in natural retinol, a component that helps reduce wrinkles, stimulates collagen production and regenerates the skin. Cacay oil has 3 times more retinol than rosehip oil, but in a more stable, non-irritating and non-comedogenic molecule. Retinol (vitamin A) is a well-known antioxidant that helps activate the skin's natural renewal process and rebuild and regenerate skin tissue, visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles while keeping skin soft and smooth.
In addition, there's plenty of antioxidant vitamin E present, helping to naturally repair, protect and replenish moisture levels in the skin. It also contains 50% more vitamin E than argan oil. This new oil also contains an abundance of linoleic acid (68.04%), almost double what you'd find in other popular oils. Linoleic acid is a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid and one of the main essential components making up the protective outer membrane of healthy skin cells. It is also an essential fatty acid that the body cannot synthesize on its own.
Since Cacay oil is so rich in skin-nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids, it's no surprise that today, Cacay oil is considered the reigning champion of natural, anti-aging skin care products. It's a penetrating, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, healing, regenerating oil...
Benefits for Amazonian populations:
Cacay comes from the Amazon and is a valuable tool for the local population and the environment. The tree feeds the soil, provides protection for other plants and is a source of income for local farmers and families. Once the oil has been extracted from the nuts harvested from the soil, the oilcake is processed into meal for animal feed or used as fuel - nothing goes to waste!
Organic prickly pear oil
Prickly pear comes from a cactus, not a fig tree! It's one of the most effective nourishing oils for the skin, extremely rich in vitamin E. Prickly pear seed oil is a powerful antioxidant and free radical scavenger.Prickly pear seed oil is rapidly absorbed, highly moisturizing, leaves skin velvety, improves skin elasticity and is a valuable addition to anti-aging formulations.
Benefits for populations:
The arduous task of producing premium quality prickly pear oil begins first in a women's collective with the picking of the fruit and the separation of the small seeds by hand from the fruit. The seeds are then dried and cold-pressed, virgin and unrefined. Prickly pear seeds contain little oil, only around 5%, so to make this precious oil around ½ ton is needed to produce just 500 ml. Prickly pear is known as prickly pear opuntia, prickly pear, cactus pear and thornless cactus. It thrives in arid and semi-arid climates. India, Morocco and Tunisia produce the largest amount of premium prickly pear seed oil of any cultivation site in the world. Some use the fruit to make delicious jams and jellies as well as nourishing skin oil. In traditional herbal medicine, the fruit is used for wounds and consumed to treat inflammation of the digestive and urinary tracts.
