BEAUTY IN AUTUMN, A SEASONAL RITUAL

How to make a smooth transition from summer to autumn? After the summer, your skin may have been attacked by the sun. It shows marks and spots. Your complexion looks a little dull as soon as your tan loses its radiance. This is the best time to regenerate, repair, even out and detoxify your skin! The summer sun tends to bring out marks and other irritated areas. In fact, if your skin feels attacked in any way, it may show marks that are a little more pigmented than your basic skin tone, even if you're tanning. Melanocytes, the skin cells that produce melanin, are stimulated by the sun. They will produce more melanin in the areas that have been attacked, and your skin will show marks, more or less visible, more or less embarrassing.

To activate repair and restructuring, here are a few tips:

  • massage the areas: this helps stimulate fibroblasts, the subcutaneous cells that play a major role in skin repair.
  • regularity of massage: 1 massage a day is a minimum; 2 a day can accelerate effectiveness, but is not compulsory.
  • the use of Precious Elixirs for massage. Avoid edible oils (problems with pimples and oxidation), as well as products of mediocre quality, as they won't be as effective.

Massage your skin and marks gently, in a circular motion, on a regular, daily basis, for greater effectiveness. Massage stimulates fibroblasts in the subcutaneous tissue, which in turn promote regeneration mechanisms. Patience: it takes at least 4 to 6 months for these marks to fade, and sometimes much longer. To combat dull, lacklustre skin, LUMIÈRE Precious Elixir, coloured and rich in carotenoids, will work miracles! They'll help prolong your tan after summer, and above all give your skin a healthy glow.

Autumn ritual: detoxify and detoxify your skin
Autumn is the perfect time to detoxify your body if your skin is..:

  • dull, gray skin
  • grainy skin, pimples, blackheads, microcysts, acne
  • dark circles
  • eczema
  • redness
  • millia grains
  • skin rashes

Detox means both detoxifying and detoxifying the body, i.e. helping the body to evacuate undesirable molecules by facilitating their elimination by the emunctory organs. A distinction must be made between :

1. Detoxification: getting rid of the majority of toxic substances outside the body: pollution, heavy metals, pesticides, colorants, preservatives, drugs...

2. Detoxication: eliminating toxins from the body. These are normally present, as they are residues of metabolic reactions: cortisol, histamine, free radicals, ... or waste products linked to the degradation of food (lactic acid, urea...). Fortunately, nature is well-crafted, and our bodies know how to rid themselves of these substances through the elimination organs = emunctories, which are the liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs and skin. The skin is therefore an important means of elimination. Thanks in particular to the sweat glands, it rejects toxins via sweat. It is therefore essential to ensure that the skin can breathe and work properly. Otherwise, waste products that are not eliminated accumulate and clog the epidermis.

Does your skin need a detox?

Your lifestyle is already an important factor: a rather confined or polluted atmosphere, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, a diet rich in meats and deli meats, chronic drug treatments are all criteria that contribute to the intoxication and poisoning of your body.

On the face, we most often observe a dull, grey complexion that lacks freshness. The relief of the skin may appear grainy, with pimples, blackheads, microcysts and millium grain. Dark circles are often prominent and swollen. Once clogged, emunctories can no longer evacuate waste and play their role effectively.

The organs become saturated and tired, struggling to drain the whole body. The more toxins there are to eliminate, the more the skin will try to get them out through skin eruptions, such as acne, eczema, redness... Trying to camouflage these skin imperfections with make-up or foundation containing ingredients such as silicones, mineral oils and preservatives only serves to maintain the phenomenon and suffocate the skin. Similarly, resorting to medication (antibiotics, cortisone...) may momentarily relieve the problem, but it won't help your body get rid of this toxin overload.

Here are our tips for a skin detox to complement a liver detox and help you regain beautiful skin.

Skin detox
For 1 month, while your epidermis renews its cells, follow our 6 tips to rid your skin of excess toxins.

Once a week:

  • A Steam Bath or Facial Sauna (this will be the next article) to open closed and/or clogged pores. This deep-cleanses your skin. However, if your skin is very fragile, sensitive or reactive, this technique is not recommended.
  • Exfoliation to rid your skin of the layer of dead cells that accumulate on the surface and refine skin texture. This scrub can be performed just after the steam bath, but should be gentle enough to respect the skin's hydrolipidic film.
  • Nutritive mask 1 to 3 times a week.
  • Cosmetic fasting is particularly purifying. Once a week, put your skin on a diet, for example on Sundays;
Every day:

Apply your Synergie products morning and night.
Massage your skin for 1 to 2 minutes to stimulate the skin's oxygenation functions. While applying your Precious Elixir, massage your face from the inside out and from the bottom up.
Do not use make-up.

Tips to accompany your daily skin detox:

  • To drain the kidneys, drink plenty of fluids. In the morning, drink a glass of water with the juice of a lemon. During the day, choose herbal teas that will also help open up the other emunctories. For the skin, choose burdock, wild pansy, elderberry, borage, nettle and chamomile.
  • Get active in the fresh air! Get outside for 20 to 30 minutes a day and go for a walk, if possible in the forest or the great outdoors.
  • Try to go to bed half an hour earlier to give your body a good night's rest.
  • As far as possible, stop smoking, coffee, dairy products (animal milk), pork meats and cold meats during this month. The "detox skin" cure lasts 4 weeks, the time it takes for your epidermal cells to renew themselves.

How to facilitate skin drainage?
Day after day, the skin accumulates toxins that can prevent it from functioning properly. This prevents it from fully performing its vital cellular functions. The result is often a gray complexion, lack of radiance and loss of elasticity. Before applying any other skincare product, start by ridding your skin of the cutaneous toxins that clog it up. This will allow it to breathe more easily, giving you a fresher, more harmonious complexion!

Why drain your skin?
The aim of skin drainage is to support this organ's elimination process. Even if elimination in this organ is fairly discreet, it's through sweat and sebum that some of the waste and toxins are eliminated. However, with certain creams applied to the skin, make-up that covers too much, undesirable compounds from a rich diet, etc., the epidermis finds itself asphyxiated. In order for the skin to fully perform its various roles, it must be able to breathe properly. Draining the skin encourages the elimination of excess toxins. There are several ways to promote skin drainage and help it perform its elimination function. To enable the skin to breathe and rid itself of toxins, we need to remove dead surface cells, facilitate elimination and reactivate micro-circulation.

Deep cleansing:
Deep cleansing that maintains the skin's flora will help your skin to rid itself of impurities. Use a gentle exfoliator at a frequency suited to your skin type. To stimulate cleansing, you can also increase sweat production. Physical exercise is a good way to encourage perspiration and thus increase elimination.

Phytotherapy:
Numerous plants are available to drain the skin and promote elimination. Plants such as burdock, wild pansy, borage, nettle, dandelion, chamomile... can be used in herbal teas and decoctions (burdock). Drink 2 or 3 cups a day for a 2-3 week course of treatment. As a complement, you can also drink the juice of a lemon diluted in a glass of water when you wake up in the morning, and hydrate regularly throughout the day. During the cure, you should also focus on foods that are good for the liver: garlic, turmeric, cruciferous vegetables, black radish and citrus fruits such as grapefruit.

Activate micro-circulation:
Activating micro-circulation perfectly complements the drainage process. Exfoliation, massage movements always with a precious Elixir, facial massage tools such as guasha and suction cups are very pleasant to use. It's also important to carry out lymphatic drainage with pressure movements exerted along the ganglion chain.

In Autumn, the skin needs to regenerate and prepare for Winter.

1. Exfoliate and regenerate
In autumn, the skin has thickened over the summer to protect against dehydration, especially if you're very tanned. In autumn, the tan gradually fades and imperfections gradually reappear: wrinkles, spots, pimples, redness, dilated pores.... Now's the time to restore your skin's radiance with Synergie skin care products. It's also a good time to treat imperfections, especially brown spots caused by sun exposure. Solution: After peeling or exfoliating, which will help the skin to unclog and oxygenate, it's time to apply skin care products that will help it regenerate. Précieux elixirs are ideal.

2. Preparing for winter

Winter is a transitional period that prepares the skin to face the harsh, aggressive winter. This is the time to prepare your skin by applying a serum rich in vitamin A or E. Solution: L'Élixir précieux LUMIÈRE This is the ideal time for a liver detoxification cure. It's also a time when the skin's diet is rich in molecules that help it adapt to winter's aggressions: all the colorful vegetables of winter: pumpkin, beetroot, red peppers, carrots...

In conclusion: change your skin by providing it with "exfoliating" and then regenerating molecules, repair your marks and other imperfections, give your skin a healthy glow and detoxify your body!
